Prosecutors charged Jennifer N. Jones, 19, of Norman, Monday with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. She is accused of stabbing her brother, Christopher Jones, 19, according to court papers. Norman police, firefighters and emergency services were sent to 2104 W. Brooks St. 7:16 a.m. Sunday in regard to the stabbing. Police said Jones and her brother had been out with a couple of friends. According to a court affidavit, the group returned to the apartment early Sunday morning. Sometime after returning to the apartment, the siblings became involved in an argument. A witness told police he saw Jones and her brother arguing and Jones walked into the living room holding a "long knife with a black handle," according to the affidavit. The witness said he watched Jones stab her brother. Police said Jones suffered a minor cut to her hand. She and her brother were transported to Norman Regional Hospital. Both were treated and released from the hospital. Jones was taken and booked into the Cleveland County Detention Center Sunday morning, police said. According to court records, Jones' $10,000 bond was posted Monday. She is to have no contact with the victim as a condition of her release.
