A Norman resident was hospitalized with serious injuries after a two-vehicle collision Friday afternoon between his bicycle and a motorcycle, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
The cyclist, Andrew J. Heisserer of Norman, was on a Bianchi Brava bicycle that turned left into the southbound lane of U.S. Highway 77, where he was struck by a 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling south ridden by Robert Dwayne Miller of Pauls Valley on 77 near 160th Street in McClain County.
Heisserer was transported by airlift to Norman Regional Hospital in serious but stable condition with head, trunk, arm and leg injuries. Miller refused treatment at the scene.
Heisserer was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, the Highway Patrol said.
