By Meghan McCormick

Negotiations with the Professional Educators of Norman and Support Personnel Association of Norman will be discussed in a closed session during Monday's meeting of the Norman Public Schools Board of Education.

No vote will be taken once the meeting returns to open session, according to the agenda.

The regular monthly meeting will be 7 p.m. Monday at the Curriculum Center Building, 131 S. Flood Ave.

Also during the meeting, the board will appoint representatives to serve on the Citizens Advisory Council for the 2008/2009 school year and board members will hear a presentation about the fiscal year 2009 Statewide Alternative Education Academy plan.

The board also will learn about a proposed revision in Board of Education policy regarding Social Security and Emergency Response Procedures.

Also, the NPS board will name a board member to serve on the Oklahoma State School Boards Association State Legislative Network and appoint individuals to the Internal Activities Review committee.
