Published August 19, 2008 04:21 pm - Moore school employees working in district’s Administration Service Center building were evacuated this morning after an electrical fire sent smoke throughout the building.
Fire officials said the fire began in an electrical panel.
Power was cut to the building, located at 1500 SE 4th Street in Moore.
Moore police spokesman, Sgt. Todd Strickland, said several officers and firefighters were stationed at the scene.
Moore’s assistant fire chief, Gary Bird, said all employees in the building were accounted for and no one was hurt.

“School officials have sent some employees home and others to different places,” he said. “But all employes and all our firemen are safe.”
Bird said the building will remain without power for a while.
“There is some damage and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation,” he said.
The fire comes just after school started in Moore and the district opend its new Southmoore High School, last Thursday.
