MOORE -- Moore school employees working in the district's Administration Service Center building were evacuated Tuesday morning after an electrical fire sent smoke throughout the building.
Fire officials said the fire began in an electrical panel.
Power was cut to the building at 1500 SE 4th St. in Moore.
Moore police spokesman Sgt. Todd Strickland said several officers and firefighters were stationed at the scene.
Moore's Assistant Fire Chief Gary Bird said all employees in the building were accounted for and no one was hurt. Bird said the building is separate from schools where students attend classes.
"This does not involve anywhere where any children are," he said.
Bird said the administrative building is closed.
"School officials have sent some employees home and others to different places," he said. "But all employees and all our firemen are safe."
Bird said the building will remain without power for a while.
"There is some damage and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation," he said.
