String faculty to visit schools

— The Norman Public Schools string faculty will visit elementary schools to demonstrate the four orchestral string instruments (violin, viola, cello and string bass) to all fifth grade students Aug. 26-28.
Orientation sessions for interested students will be 7-9 p.m. Aug. 27 and 6:30-9 p.m. Aug. 28 in the Nancy O'Brian Center for the Performing Arts.
The sessions will give students the chance to select the instrument they would like to play and ask questions about the program.
