Though most of the nation's attention will be on expected Republican presidential candidate John McCain and his newly announced running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, four Oklahomans will will address the GOP national meeting.
This week, convention organizers announced their speaker's line-up included Rep. Tom Cole, R-Okla., who will speak Monday night.
On Tuesday, Oklahoma's junior U.S. senator, Tom Coburn, will address the delegates while Oklahoma City Major Mick Cornett will take the podium on Wednesday.
Congresswoman Mary Fallin will speak shortly before John McCain officially accepts the GOP nomination for president Thursday night.
And, like their Democratic counterparts, Republicans also will be offering wall-to-wall coverage of the convention via the Internet.
The blog (remember it means "Web log") thenextright.com will feature on-site coverage from Minnesota.
In addition, the national party will feature news and information about the convention at http://portal.gopconvention2008.com.?
