Tourney to benefit Thunderbird Clubhouse Transcript Staff Early registration has begun for the Thunderbird Clubhouse Annual Golf Tournament, scheduled Nov. 3 at The Trails Golf Club, 3200 S. Berry Road.
Registration for the four-person team golf scramble is scheduled for 11 a.m., followed by lunch and a silent auction. The shotgun start will be 12:30 p.m., with carts provided and drinks available all day. The scores will be tallied at 4 p.m. and winners announced, with prizes to the first- and second-place finishers. Cost of entry for four-person teams is $400; with sponsorship opportunities including platinum, $800; gold, $500; silver, $250 and bronze, $150. The tournament will benefit Thunderbird Clubhouse, a nonprofit, community-based agency for adults recovering from mental illness. The tournament is intended to expand community awareness of the clubhouse, raise needed funding and provide a fun-filled day on the golf course, organizers said.
