Want to help pick the next president?
Want to vote for your favorite legislator?
Then make sure your voter registration is current, said Cleveland County Election Board Secretary Paula Roberts.
Voters who haven't voted in the past several years should check their status now, she said, by contact the election board or visiting the board's Web site.
For new voters, or those who want to change their registration, Roberts said there were several alternatives:
"They can check on line, come see us in person or go to another election board," she said.
Additionally, Roberts said several other places in Norman can process voter registration forms. Those include:
· Any tag agency.
· Any branch library of the Pioneer Library System.
· The U.S. Post Office.
However, to make sure that registration is processed quickly, Roberts encouraged voters to go to the Election Board's office at 122 S. Peters Ave. in Norman.
"I always recommend that if people want to make sure, they should come to the office and do it," Roberts said.
And this year, the lines could be longer.
"We've been busy and we expect to get busier," she said.
For voters who can make a computer work, Roberts suggested visiting the election board's Web site to check their registration status and the address of their polling place.
