Published October 31, 2008 12:23 am - Four area men have been charged in connection with the alleged theft of approximately $2,000 worth of merchandise and a flat-screen TV valued at more than $500 from a local department store.
David Allen Hofland, 19, Oklahoma City, Blake Allen Thompson, 18, McAlester, Derrick Lee James, 18, Oklahoma City, and Christopher Troy Vick, 38, Moore, were each charged Thursday with two counts of larceny of merchandise from a retailer, according to court filings.

Four area men have been charged in connection with the alleged theft of approximately $2,000 worth of merchandise and a flat-screen TV valued at more than $500 from a local department store.
David Allen Hofland, 19, Oklahoma City, Blake Allen Thompson, 18, McAlester, Derrick Lee James, 18, Oklahoma City, and Christopher Troy Vick, 38, Moore, were each charged Thursday with two counts of larceny of merchandise from a retailer, according to court filings.
Police said two of the men took two shopping carts full of merchandise out an emergency exit of an east-side department store Sept. 28. Two men took a 26-inch flat screen TV valued at $548 through the same exit Oct. 1, police said.
Two of the suspects acted at separate times as lookouts, police said.
Other felonies filed Thursday include:
· Brandon Lee Richardson, 18, Oklahoma City, uttering a forged instrument;
· Benjamin David Cowan, 36, Norman, stalking;
· Tracy Lee Turner, 34, Norman, domestic abuse;
· Taylor Marie Martin, 19, Moore, larceny of merchandise from a retailer;
· Corey Don Fogle, 23, Oklahoma City, unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous drug.
