Published October 31, 2008 09:07 am - NEW: Early voting starts with a bang The Cleveland County Election Board opened its doors to a long line of voters this morning Michael Kinney The Norman Transcript NORMAN — The Cleveland County Election Board opened its doors to a long line of voters this morning looking to take advantage of the three-day in-person absentee voting.
By 8 a.m. the line stretched north to Main Street and around the corner. Within the hour it soon wrappd around Main Street and headed west about half a block. Early voting will continue until 6 p.m. today, from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday. According to State Election Board Secretary Michael Clingman, more than 1.4 million Oklahomans will go to the polls for the presidential election. The election board is located at 122 S. Peters Ave. More information is available at 366-0210.
