Norman library exhibits Native American art

— Sixteen Native American artists are featured in an exhibit that is part of the Native American Cultural Festival at the Norman Public Library. The exhibit will remain on display in the Reading Room Gallery of the library, 225 N. Webster Ave., through November, which is National American Indian Heritage Month.
Oil paintings, pencil drawings, silkscreen images and mixed media works are included in the exhibit, on loan to the library from the Tribes Gallery in Norman.
Artists featured in the exhibit include Troy Anderson, Woody Crumbo, Harvey Pratt, Archie Blackowl, Brent Learned, Bob Thomason, David Kaskaske, Richard Whitman, Allie Chaddlesone, Murv Jacob and Virginia Stroud.
Three-dimensional works by Elena Pate, Frank Rowe, Sherman Chaddlesone, Joseph Skywolf and Roberta Wallace are exhibited in display cases in the library. The works on display at the library are available for purchase through the Tribes Gallery, 307 E. Main St.
