PURCELL - McClain County commissioners voted to lift the county's burn ban at their meeting Wednesday.
The burn ban was issued Oct. 30 and applied to open fires.
Any open fires still must be approved by the local fire department. All citizens should contact their local fire department before burning brush or doing any form of controlled burn, said Ed Cravens, county emergency management director.
