He is the son of Jeff and Cheryl Jones and is a member of Troop 777 sponsored by Alameda Church of Christ.
Eagle Court of Honor set for Blake Jones

Blake Jones will be honored at an Eagle Scout Court of Honor 3 p.m. Sunday at Alameda Church of Christ, 801 E. Alameda St.
He is the son of Jeff and Cheryl Jones and is a member of Troop 777 sponsored by Alameda Church of Christ. Jones began his Scouting career as a member of Cub Scout Pack 221.
Jones is a senior at Norman North High School maintaining a 4.0 GPA. He has participated in several school musicals and is active in astronomy club, National Honor Society, Medical Explorers Post 901 and First Baptist Church Youth Group.
While in Cub Scouts, he earned the Arrow of Light, the highest award in Cub Scouts. His special awards and achievements include Brotherhood in the Order of the Arrow, Green Bar Bill Award, Service to America Award, Crew Leader on Philmont trek and 50-Miler Award.
He has served his troop as assistant senior patrol leader, patrol leader, assistant patrol leader, cheermaster, sergeant-at-arms and quartermaster.
Jones earned 26 merit badges and has 178 nights of camping, over 80 hours of community service and 769 miles of hiking. He has participated in numerous patrol and troop campouts including 2008 Colorado Rags to Riches trip, 2008 R.O.C.S. trek at Philmont Scout Ranch, 2007 Rayado trek at Philmont, 2006 England trip, 2006 Philmont trek, backpacking in Pecos Wilderness in New Mexico, Kanik at Philmont, 2004 The Road Goes on Forever New Mexico Trip, Arkansas backpacking trip and multiple Dead of Winter trips. He also attended summer camp at Hale Scout Reservation.
For his Eagle Project, Jones led members of the troop in constructing a deck and frame for a whiteboard in the Outdoor Classroom of Roosevelt Elementary School.
