Norman Deputy Fire Chief Jim Bailey said one person was at home when the fire broke out at 12600 Hannibal Drive Tuesday. That person reported the fire at 12:53 p.m. According to the Cleveland County Assessor's Web site, the home belongs to Rodney and Dena Fetters. The single-story house is a little north of the intersection of 120th Avenue NE and Franklin Road. Bailey said personnel from three fire stations were dispatched to the fire. Smoke and flames were visible from the attic and fireplace when crews arrived. Firefighters had the blaze under control within 20 minutes. "Nobody was injured," he said. Fire and smoke damage was contained to the attic and family room, Bailey said. The residents were told they would need to stay somewhere else overnight. He said $15,000 worth of contents were lost in the blaze. Firefighters estimated the structure sustained $40,000 in damage. Meghan McCormick 366-3539 mmccormick@normantranscript.com
