Cleveland Elementary fourth-graders came down with a case of disco fever Tuesday, and it spread through the school.
Music teacher Regina Bell said strobe lights, a disco ball and smoke machine were all props used for the fourth grade music program.
"It's a high-tech show," Bell said.
Fourth-graders Camille Greer, 10, and Maggie McGuire, 9, weren't alive during the disco era, but both girls have come to like the dance moves and sounds of music bands Chic and Rose Royce as they prepared for the show.
"I like the dances," Camille said.
"I like the songs," Maggie said.
Another fourth-grader, Emma Plusqueilec, 9, said glow sticks and black lights were additional props used in the show.
"There's no speaking parts, just singing and dancing," Emma said to describe the program.
Emma said she wasn't nervous about her solo dance performance to the Donna Summer hit "Last Dance."
Collin Imhoff, 9, said he didn't mind dancing with a girl during the show. He was worried a little about his feet.
"The only thing about the 'couple' dance is getting my feet stepped on," Collin said.
