Transcript Staff

The Norman Public Library, 225 N. Webster Ave., plans come-and-go Gaming for Adults 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Adults can get a little cardio exercise with Dance Dance Revolution. Guitar Hero III and Aerosmith, Call of Duty 4, Rock Band 1 and 2 and more will be set up and ready for adult play.

The evening is for adults age 18 and over; in-person registration with library card and personal identification is required.

Guitar Hero is a music video game that features a guitar-shaped peripheral as the primary controller to simulate the playing of an electric guitar. Dance Dance Revolution is a music video game series played on a dance pad. Panels on the pad are pressed using the player's feet, in response to arrows that appear on the screen in front of the player. The arrows are synchronized to the general rhythm of a song, and success is dependent on the player's ability to time and position steps accordingly. Rock Band 1 and 2 are the highest-rated music/rhythm games ever.
