Mayor appoints six to boards, commissions

— Mayor Cindy Rosenthal appointed six to various Norman boards and commissions at the Nov. 25 council meeting.
Emily Furney and Robin Stafford were appointed to the Children's Rights Coordinating Commission. Furney replaces Robin Wilson and Stafford replaces Betty Baker. Furney's term will be to Oct. 16, 2011, with Stafford's term to Oct. 16, 2009.
Rangar Cline was appointed to the Historic District Commission, with a term through Oct. 26, 2011.
On the Norman Planning Commission, Freddie Walden will be replaced by Tom Knotts, with Paul Minnis and Curtis McCarty reappointed through Nov. 1, 2011. Knotts' term will also be through Nov. 1, 2011.
The appointments were approved by council at the Nov. 25 meeting.
