Laura Brooke Walker and Rolando Agustin Rojas were united in marriage the evening of April 26 in the outdoor gazebo of Arlington Hall at Lee Park in Dallas with Mike Murphy of First Baptist Church of Crawford officiating.
A dinner reception followed the ceremony in Arlington Hall. On the eve of the wedding, the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at Peggy Sue BBQ.
The bride is the daughter of Nancy and David Post of Crawford, Texas, and Beth and Jay Walker of Harker Heights, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Bobbie Morrison, the late Herman Morrison and JC and Gloria Walker, all of Killeen, Texas, Billie and John Post of Waco, Texas, and Sandra and Don Worley of Purdon, Texas. She is the great-granddaughter of Alta Ruth Post of Waco and Lucille Worley of Lancaster, Texas.
The groom is the son of Adela Rojas of Austin, Texas and Suzie and Fernando Rojas of Norman. He is the grandson of Maria and Jorge Miguel of Oklahoma City.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory strapless, empress taffeta A-line corset back gown with an asymmetrical band accenting the waist, a lace overlay featuring a jeweled embellishment at the side hip and a sweep train. She wore a handmade, single-tiered ivory veil with satin trim. She carried a bouquet of white roses and stephanotis tied in French blue ribbon.
Jamie Gillmeister, friend of the bride, and Whitney Post, sister of the bride, served as co-maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Amy Arredondo, Brooke Ferguson, and sisters of the groom Maria Rojas Shepler and Vivian Rojas. Bridesmaids carried bouquets of white hydrangeas tied in French blue ribbon. Flower girls were Sally Walker and McKenna Grace Post, sisters of the bride. Members of the house party were Dawn Blenden and Sydney Eary.
Blake Hunter, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Matt Luth, Jason Taylor, Jason Estes, brother-in-law of the groom, Todd Shepler and brother of the bride, Daniel Post. Samuel Walker and Daniel Post, brothers of the bride, and Todd Shepler served as ushers.
Music was provided by the Deborah Brooks Chamber Ensemble and Donna Murphy, pianist.
After a honeymoon in Saint Lucia, the couple will reside in Dallas.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Baylor University where she earned a BBA in sports, sponsorships and sales. She is employed by Division One Sports in Dallas.
Rojas is a 1999 graduate of the University of Oklahoma where he earned a BBA in management information systems. He is the owner of Data Dissect, an IT Consulting Company in Dallas.
