Published September 25, 2009 03:53 am - Julie Thomas of Norman and Dillon McClain of Bethany were married July 24 at Wildwood Community Church.
The bride is the daughter of Ned and Jena Thomas of Norman. She is a graduate of Norman High School and Colorado Christian University in Denver, where she was a member of student government, Fat Boys (homeless ministry), president of The Circle and was a discipleship advisor.


Thomas weds McClain



Julie Thomas of Norman and Dillon McClain of Bethany were married July 24 at Wildwood Community Church.

The bride is the daughter of Ned and Jena Thomas of Norman. She is a graduate of Norman High School and Colorado Christian University in Denver, where she was a member of student government, Fat Boys (homeless ministry), president of The Circle and was a discipleship advisor. She also studied at Keeble College and Mansfield College in Oxford, England, and played for the Queens College football (soccer) team. She teaches Latin at Veritas, a Christian Classical School in Oklahoma City.

The groom is the son of Stacy McClain of Oklahoma City and Bonnie Simpson of Blanchard. He is a graduate of Putnam City West High School and is a meteorology student at the University of Oklahoma. He was a member of Beta Upsilon Chi Fraternity (brothers under Christ) and is employed by the Oklahoma Climatological Survey.

The ceremony was officiated by Mark Robinson.

Music was provided by violinists Christina and Petrina Harvey.

Matrons of honor were Traci Hurley, sister of the bride, of Stillwater and Katie McElvany of Norman.

Maid of honor was Hannah Hullinger of Norman.

Bridesmaid was Tera Thomas of Denver.

Best man was Chad McClain of Oklahoma City, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Nick England of Ft. Worth, Texas, Kyle Dunn of Norman and Jacob Roggero of Cali, Colombia, South America.

Flower girls were Eliana and Ayelen Brown, daughters of Chad and Jamie McClain.

Ring bearer was Hunter Hurley, son of Mark and Traci Hurley.

A reception followed at the Gathering Hall, catered by Victoria's in Norman.

The couple honeymooned in the Mayan Riviera.
