The bride is the daughter of Dwight and Virginia Birdwell.

Stephanie Elaine Birdwell and Spike Norman Bighorn were married 2 p.m. Aug. 31 during a ceremony officiated by Pastor Emerson Falls at Glorieta Baptist Church, Oklahoma City.
The bride is the daughter of Dwight and Virginia Birdwell. She is a graduate of Norman High School, earned her bachelor of arts degree in journalism from the University of Oklahoma and master's degree in social welfare from the University of California at Berkeley.
The groom is the son of Alpheus and the late Doremis Bighorn. He is a graduate of Brockton High School, Montana. He earned his bachelor of science degree in communications education from Dickinson State University, North Dakota, and his master's degree in business administration from Gonzaga University, Washington. The couple is employed by the United States Department of Interior, Bureau of Indian Education, in Washington, D.C.
The bride wore an ivory organza tea-length dress with metallic embroidery and ribbon accent at the waist. She carried a bouquet of pink, white and red roses.
She was given in marriage by her parents. Bridal attendants were Kimberly Teehee, Washington, D.C.; B. Toby Chavez, Albuquerque, N.M., Lorie Gay, Yukon; and Bettina Fox, Albany, Calif. Tyra and Kira Wilson, Albuquerque, were flower girls.
Groomsmen were Ernest Vierra, Fort Washakie, Wyo.; Edward Birdwell, Norman, Jay Daniels, Minneapolis; and Gary Curtiss, Lakewood, Colo.
Terry Thorne, Pawhuska, and Gary Curtiss served as ushers.
The groom's grandsons, Jarron and Patton Bighorn were ring bearers.
Following a honeymoon trip stretching from the Northwest to the Northern Plains, the couple resides in Alexandria, Va.
