NORMAN — Emily Anne Merrill, of Norman, and John Charles Collins, of Lawrenceville, Ill., exchanged wedding vows Feb. 15, 2014, at the Lowndes Grove Plantation in Charleston, S.C. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Dr. Terry L. Wilson
The bride is the daughter of Dr. Tom and Debbie Merrill, of Norman.
The groom is the son of Christy Routien and John Collins, both of Lawrenceville.
Ceremony music includes “Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring,” “Canon in D,” “Bridal Chorus” and “Wedding March,” all played by Carolina Trio.
The bride wore an ivory mermaid-style gown with a sweetheart neckline. The gown featured a banded bodice with a layered, ruffled bottom and a fingertip-length, layered veil
She carried a bouquet of whites and ivories including blown-open roses, white ranunculus, lilac, hyacinth, sweat pea, white peonies and gardenias.
Maid of honor was Amy Merrill, sister of the bride, of Norman and Chicago.
Bridesmaids were Hope Sullivant, of New York, Jordan Bartolomeo, of Washington, D.C., Kristen Ward, of Charlotte, N.C., Lainey Brassfield, of Oklahoma City, and Michael Ann Young, of Tyler, Texas.
Junior bridesmaid was Sally Merrill, cousin of the bride, of Oklahoma City.
Best man was Jared Collins, brother of the groom, of Lawrenceville and Indianapolis, Ind.
Groomsmen were Alex Mieure, of Las Vegas, Jayton Collins, brother of the groom, of West Lafayette, Ind., Jevyn Collins, brother of the groom, of Lawrenceville, John Caldwell, of Denver, Matthew Guay, of Charlotte, N.C., and Steven Merrill, brother of the bride, of Norman.
Flower girl was Annie Merrill, cousin of the bride, and daughter of Jim and Joanie Merrill, of Oklahoma City.
Ring bearer was Brycen Blagrave, cousin of the groom, and son of Mike and Valerie Blagrave, of Lawrenceville.
Ceremony readings were performed by Kevin Strange, of St. Louis, and Joanie Merrill, aunt of the bride, of Oklahoma City.
