NORMAN — Libby Lea Rankin and Aaron Dale Gober, both of Oklahoma City, were united in marriage April 13, 2013, at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City. The Rev. Robert Rose presided over the evening ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Julie and Stan Rankin, of Edmond. She is the granddaughter of Daphne and Bill Lewis Sr., of Norman, and Oleta Rankin, of Tulsa.
The groom is the son of Christy and Dale Gober, of Oklahoma City, and Debbie and Mike Jack, of Shawnee.
The bride attended Edmond Santa Fe High School and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in interior design. She works at Rees Associates as an interior designer.
The groom attended Tecumseh High School and graduated from OU with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He works at Lowry Land Company as a landman.
The bride wore a strapless gown from the Lazaro Collection in ivory silk satin with a cathedral-length train and a triple-tiered cathedral veil by Toni Federici.
She carried an all white, hand-tied bouquet of hydrangeas, orchids, peonies, gardenias and roses.
Her matrons of honor, Kate Gallagher, of Oklahoma City, and Regan Alexander, of Port Moresby, Papau New Guinea, and bridesmaids Amy Leddy, of Tulsa, Lauren Thompson, of Oklahoma City, Lisa Tacker and Lauren Haskett, both of Houston, Krystal Gayler, of Norman and Merrick Rankin, of Edmond, wore floor-length gowns in gray silk chiffon and carried coral and white bouquets.
The house party included Lindsay Birdwell, of Edmond, Katie Thompson and Karlee Chill, both of Oklahoma City.
Best man was Shawn Gayler, of Norman.
Groomsmen were Garrett Benton, Luke Roberts, Jason Hubbert, Brad Bishop and David Lawrence, all of Oklahoma City, Mitch Rankin, of Edmond, and Nathan Moore, of Shawnee.
A reception was hosted at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and will establish their home in Oklahoma City.
