NORMAN — Larry and Mary (Williams) Stacy of Norman exchanged wedding vows on Aug. 3, 1962, in Blanchard at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
They purchased their first home in 1963 in Norman. They have lived in Norman for 49 years.
Larry has had a wide variety of jobs; working on a dairy farm, he delivered milk for Hiland, he was a TV cameraman, a DJ at WKY, had an insurance business, he sold cars for Adams and Spencer Chevrolet, he was a salesman for Floyds RV and owned Hollywood Corners for 21 years. Mary gave 30 years in the long-term care business. She retired from Sterling House as an administrator.
Larry likes woodworking, ranching, driving his John Deere tractor and gardening.
Mary likes reading, playing the piano, interior decorating, cooking and shopping for others.
The couple’s children are Bret Stacy and Darry Stacy, both of Norman. The couple have five grandchildren.
To celebrate, the family will sneak the couple away for the weekend. Letters and cards from friends and family will be greatly appreciated.
