NORMAN — Haley Robin Hudson and Benjamin Scott Sherrard were united in marriage March 2, 2013, in an evening ceremony at McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church in Norman.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hudson, of Norman. The bride is the granddaughter of Margaret Bradley, of Norman, and the late Clyde Bradley, formerly of Drumright, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hudson, of Pittsburgh, Penn.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Sherrard, of Arlington, Texas. The groom is the grandson of Melinda Guinn, of Arlington, and the late Jim Guinn, formerly of Graham, Texas, and Jerrye Sherrard, of Winter Haven, Fla., and the late Charles Sherrard, formerly of Denison, Texas.
Adam Miller, personal friend of the couple, officiated.
Music selections included “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” performed by pianist Elliot Lee, “Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven” and “Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee” performed by organist Dr. Vicki Shaeffer. “Your Love is Extravagant” was sung by Caleb Bush during the lighting of the unity candle.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents, escorted by her father. She wore a gown of ivory lace featuring a strapless sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice and full tulle skirt and train. The bodice was accented with a satin sash at the waist with pearls and iridescent sequins. The bridal bouquet featured ivory, peach and light pink English Garden and David Austin roses with dusty miller accents.
Meredith Hudson served her sister as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Caroline Allen, Julia Lee, Caitlyn Kutch, Lauren Jones, Melinda Sherrard and Megan Sherrard.
Members of the house party were Randi Nicholson, Nicole Brown, Annabelle Irvin, Jessica Bradley, Abigail Frakes and Madeline Fry.
Scripture readers were Kimberly Frakes and Elizabeth Fry, sisters of the bride.
Flower girls were Mackenzie and Katelyn Hallman, cousins of the bride.
