NORMAN — Alan and Deloros (Johnston) Haws recently celebrated 50 years of marriage.
They were married March 21, 1964, in the First Christian Church of Carthage, Mo.
They lived in Missouri, North Dakota and Montana in the first few years of their marriage, when Alan was employed as an engineer for Boeing. The couple moved to Norman in 1969. Alan worked for the Oklahoma Board of Water Resources and then became a partner and owner of Engineering Enterprises Inc. He retired in 1990. He has served the city of Norman as a member of the Board of Adjustment and the Planning Commission.
Deloros has worked for Engineering Enterprises and Robert Wells DDS. She retired in 1998 and is active in First Christian Church of Norman and CWF.
Alan and Deloros have two children, Stacey Haws Felkner (John) of Norman and Doug Haws (Mandy) of Purcell; and five grandchildren, Katy and Beth Felkner and Charlotte, Natalie and Lainie Haws.
They spend the majority of their free time with their granddaughters or at their granddaughters’ games, concerts and recitals.
