NORMAN — Melanie Marie Oberlin and Charles Franklin Knapp of Washington, D.C., have selected July 7 for their wedding in Columbus, Ohio.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mel Oberlin of Maple Heights, Ohio, and Toni Robinson of Mars Hill, N.C. She is a law librarian at the George Mason University in Arlington, VA. She graduated from Gilmour Academy in Gates Mills, Ohio. She earned three degrees from the University of Texas: a bachelor of science degree in botany, a law degree and a masters in library science.
The prospective groom is the son of Roy and Judi Knapp of Norman. He is a 1981 graduate of Norman High and is the indexing manager for Bloomberg BNA in Arlington, Va. He holds a bachelor of science in economics and a law degree from the University of Oklahoma where he was a member of the president’s leadership class and president of his fraternity, Beta Theta Pi.
