NORMAN — Richard F. Krenek (Dick) and Geraldine (Geri) Ulicky were married in Parma, Ohio, on July 6, 1963.
Dick, a US Army veteran, completed studies for his Ph.D. in industrial engineering at the Ohio State University in 1970. The couple moved to Norman in 1970 when Dick accepted a position as a professor in the School of Industrial Engineering at the University of Oklahoma.
Geri has been a member of numerous civic organizations in Norman and served in leadership positions in most of them. She was a past president of the Crosstimbers Rotary Club and currently serves as the president of the board of Full Circle, a non- profit adult day care center. She is a member of the Norman Rotary Club.
Geri was an active Realtor in Norman for 30 years. She co-founded Classic Realty and Investments Inc. which she later sold to The Dillard Group Real Estate. She was honored as Realtor of the Year in 1986 by the Norman Board of Realtors.
Dick is employed as a consulting engineer with Krenek and Associates Inc. He is a member of numerous professional and technical societies and has held leadership positions in many of them.
Dick is a past president and current member of the Norman Rotary Club and has served in numerous leadership positions including chairman of the board, of the Cleveland County Chapter of the American National Red Cross.
Their celebration included a dinner party with family and special friends at the Marriott Conference in Norman.
Their two sons and their wives, Richard and Susan and Robert and Kelly, and their granddaughters, Katie and Elizabeth, have planned a family celebration in their honor in St. Maarten, the British Virgin Islands later this year. The sons and their families reside in Plano, Texas.
