NORMAN — Ashley Rebecca Christian and Brandon William Dabney, both of Norman, exchanged wedding vows June 29, 2013, at Rose Briar Place in Oklahoma City. Mark Robinson, executive pastor of Wildwood Community Church, officiated the 1 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Bob and Jana Christian, of Norman,
The groom is the son of Kim Wells and the late Joseph Dabney, of Norman
Music performed during the ceremony included Pachelbel’s “Canon in D,” “Butterfly Waltz” and “River Flows in You.” “A Thousand Years” was the bridal processional. “Ode to Joy Rock Anthem” was the recessional.
The bride wore an ivory Da Vinci A-line gown with a sweetheart neckline. The strapless satin gown featured a lace overlay with a one-inch satin band at an empire waist accented with floral detail, a corset-style, lace-up back and a scalloped hemline.
The train was semi-cathedral in length, with vintage lace extending beyond the satin underlayer. The bride wore a tiara and an ivory, fingertip-length veil that was trimmed with tiny jewels and silver beading. Her lapis-colored heels matched the bridesmaids’ dresses. Pearl earrings, a necklace and a bracelet completed the bride’s ensemble.
The bride carried a bouquet that consisted of ivory roses surrounded by deep purple hydrangeas. The cut stems were wrapped with ivory satin ribbon. Other florals included hot pink peonies, purple hydrangeas, lime green roses, red freesias, cherry blossoms, hypericum berries and natural Manzanita.
Matron of honor was Jacqui Middleton, sister of the bride, of Norman.
Maid of honor was Michal Land, sister of the bride, of El Reno.
Bridesmaid was Brooke Turkington, of Healdton.
Best man was Matt London, of Moore.
Groomsmen were Taylor Horin and Jack Jewel, both of Norman.
Ushers were Isaac and Jonathan Christian, brothers of the bride, and Chad Finch and Alec Wilkinson, all of Norman.
