The Norman Transcript

NORMAN — Bill and Jo Fowler were married Aug. 31, 1963, in Lubbock, Texas. When they met, they were both single parents; Jo had three daughters and Bill had three sons. They both worked at a local Lincoln-Mercury dealership in Dallas.

They moved to Oklahoma City in 1965. Bill continued selling cars. Jo took care of the girls, volunteered, taught Sunday school and led Blue Birds and Camp Fire Girls for 12 years.

The Fowlers moved to Norman in 1973 when Bill bought the Toyota dealership.

Two of Bill’s sons, Mike and David, came up from Dallas to live with them after they graduated high school.

Jo’s daughters are Pam Washam and Suzanne Griffin, both of Norman, and Marsha McGuire, of Tucson, Ariz. Bill’s sons are Bill Fowler Jr., of Los Angeles, Mike Fowler, of Norman, and David Fowler, of Denver.

Bill and Jo have two daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
