NORMAN — Amanda Dorothy Angie and Matthew Thomas Allen, both of Alexandria, Va., exchanged wedding vows March 9, 2013, at the Skirvin Hilton in Oklahoma City.
The bride is the daughter of Charles and Linda Angie, of Norman. She is a 1999 graduate of Norman High School. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa in May 2003 from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology with honors. In December 2008, she graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Ph.D. in industrial/organizational psychology. She is employed as a personnel research psychologist with the Department of Homeland Security in Washington, D.C.
The groom is the son of Mark and Anne Allen, of Seal Beach, Calif., and Jim and Mary Kay Wilson, of Cypress, Calif. He is a 1998 graduate of Los Alamitos High School in Los Alamitos. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa in May 2002 from the University of California-Riverside with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology with honors. In May 2008, he graduated from OU with a Ph.D. in industrial/organizational psychology. He is employed as a senior research scientist with the human resources research organization in Alexandria.
Serving as maid of honor was Erin Brooks, best friend of the bride, of Los Angeles.
Best man was Joe DiOrio, best friend of the groom, of Santa Rosa, Calif. Groomsman was Nathan Allen, brother of the groom, of Desert Hot Springs, Calif.
Ushers were Christopher Angie, brother of the bride, of Oklahoma City, and Conor Allen, brother of the groom, of Philadelphia, Pa.
The guestbook attendant was Siobhan Allen, sister of the groom, of Seal Beach, Calif.
Program attendants were Susan Taylor and Jessi Caldwell, both cousins of the bride, of Norman.
A reception immediately followed the ceremony at the Skirvin Hilton.
The couple honeymooned in Australia.
