Changes made to big trash services

Changes have been made to the big trash pick up service which should make the pick up easier for both residents and city workers.

Residents who have Monday trash service will have big trash pick up in the months of March, July and November; Tuesday trash service will be April, August and December; Thursday is January, May and September and Friday is February, June and October.

Residents do not need to call city offices to schedule a pick up. The service is free to City of Moore residential utility customers and vouchers are no longer necessary.

Big Trash items need to be placed within 10 feet of the curb between the first and 10th of the month on the designated collection months and not under tree branches or electrical wires, or any other overhead obstruction. Don't cover water meter boxes.

A city crew will collect items at some point during the month.

Tree branches must be shorter than 10 feet in length. Tires, batteries, paints, oils, gases, household chemicals, freon units or shingles will not be picked up by city crews.
