Adams attends SWOSU choral camp

  • Noble students listed on college honor rolls
    DURANT -- Undergraduate students who have achieved superior academic performance are recognized by Southeastern Oklahoma State University each semester by being named to the President's Honor Roll or the Dean's Honor Roll.

  • Grants for Rural Fire Department Upgrades Awarded to Three Area Communities
    The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry recently announced that three area communities have been awarded grants to fund continued rural fire department improvements.
    Sen. John Sparks said the City of Lexington will receive a $10,000 grant, the Town of Slaughterville will receive a $10,000 grant and the Cedar Country Fire Protection District will receive a $15,000 grant.

  • Athletic physicals July 25
    All athletes, grades 7-12 must have a physical on file in the athletic director's office before they will be allowed to participate in practice or games.
    Physicals will be given 9 a.m.-2 p.m. July 25 at Noble Family Health Clinic, 205 S.

    The Denver Cemetery Association will hold its annual public meeting from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 7 at the Denver Cemetery, 701 108th Ave. SE.
    Guests are asked to bring chairs. Members are encouraged to attend the meeting and assist in electing trustees and conducting business for the upcoming fiscal year.

    The Adult Summer Reading Program at the Noble Public Library activities for the week include It's Not Just for Kids adult gaming with Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360 6 p.m. Tuesday.
    Thursday, 6 p.m. is Watch a Great Read Series, "Breakfast at Tiffany's" by Truman Capote.

  • Thunder Jam returns to Noble today
    After steady rains and cool temperatures forced the postponement of the first trip to Thunder Valley Raceway, the O'Reilly Auto Parts Thunder Jam presented by Arby's and the U.S. Air Force is back as Thunder Valley is set to host the drag racing thrill show today.
