Teens continue to discover ways to express yourself

Expressing yourself gets easier and easier with each trip to the hometown library for teens in the area.

Noble Public Library, 204 N. Fifth, will have Saxon Rhea and Urban Art Thursday, June 18, at 2 p.m. Rhea is a junior at Norman High School, and last year he was chosen by Dreamer Concepts Studio -- Foundation as the featured artist at the Downtown Arts Markets in Norman. Teens will join Rhea in creating a unique piece of art with spray paint. The program will be outdoors and participants will be required to wear masks. Supplies are included. Space is limited to the first 25 teens who register.

The teen program Thursday, June 25, at 2 p.m. is Movie Making Madness. Possible projects include anime, live-action, claymation, or cartoons. Bring your own music or artwork if you have something in mind to add to your movie.

The Teen Summer Reading Challenge programs, rewards and prizes are made possible through the support of local sponsors, Friends of the Library groups, and Pioneer Library System.

For more information about the Summer Reading Programs and a listing of activities, visit your nearest Pioneer Library System public library or check the website at www.justsoyouknow.us.
