Felicia Perry Reid

The Norman Transcript

Felicia Perry Reid, 78 of Norman, died unexpectedly Sunday, February 24th at Norman Regional Hospital. Loving family and friends will miss her sweet spirit and joy of life. She was born September 20, 1929 in Brownwood, Texas, but much of her youth was spent in San Antonio. That is where she met and married Bill Reid in 1948. The Reid family moved to Norman in 1968.

Felicia was a loving mother to Judy and Dan Toland of Sterling, VA, Licia and Wayne Iverson of Norman, OK, and Perry and Missy Reid of Edmond, OK. She adored her six wonderful grandchildren; Coby Toland of Los Angeles, CA, Ryan Toland of Arlington, VA, and Kyle, Sarah, Connor and Brett Reid of Edmond, OK. Felicia was devoted to family and gave a gift of caring and unconditional love to all she touched.

In addition to raising her family, Felicia worked at Tulane University as a Bio-Medical Research Assistant, and as an Administrative Assistant for 20 years at the Merrick Computing Center at the University of Oklahoma until she retired in 1988.

Many have spoken of her ability to warm up a room with her presence and her smile. She blessed the Heartland Home Health Care -- Hospice with this gift by volunteering with the agency after they cared for her husband Bill in his final days in 2003. Friendships were made as she shared her loving touch yet once again.

Passing before Felicia were her husband Bill and her brother J. Henry Perry.

She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will remember fondly her impact on their lives.

Celebration of Life services will be held Friday, February 29th at 2:00pm at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Norman. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Norman. Chaplin Harry Smith to officiate. Visitation will be available during the day on Thursday, February 28th. The family will be receiving visitors from 6:00-8:00pm, at Havenbrook Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Heartland Hospice, 1100 N. Porter Norman, OK 73071...an organization close to Felicia's heart.

Condolences may be made online at: http://www.havenbrookfuneralhome.com/Obituaries.htm.
