Glenn Randall "Randy" Fields, 38 of Rich Creek, VA passed away early Sunday morning November 11, 2007 in Seminole, OK due to a tractor-trailer accident. Randy was born in Pearisburg, Va. June 26th, 1969 and was a graduate of Narrows High School, class of 1987.
Randy was predeceased by his mother, Betty G. Ferguson and his Father, Glen Duncan. He is survived by his step-father and best friend, William H. Ferguson of Rich Creek, Virginia with whom he made his home. He is also survived by his step-mother, Freda Duncan of Narrows. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, his "Baby Girl", Carlaina Maegan "Carly" Fields of Pearisburg, VA whom he loved and cherished very much.
Randy also leaves behind many brothers and sisters who were all his best friends; Debbie Dill (David) of Norman, OK, David R. Fields of Pearisburg, VA, Tracey Haney (Bob) of Norman, OK, Mike Fields (Debbie) of Romeoville, Il, Robin Weyer (Dave) of Narrows, VA, Gary Fields (Michele) of Pearisburg, VA, Timmy Fields (Angela) of Narrows, VA and Jason Ferguson of Rich Creek, VA.
He also leaves behind several step-brothers -- step-sisters; Donna Mabry (Mike) of Narrows, VA, Christina Spangler (B.J.) of Pembroke, VA, and Richard Duncan of Narrows, VA. and many nieces -- nephews with whom he was very close.
He also leaves behind a very special friend, Angel Kinzer Hale and her children Lauren, Natasha, Sheena and Joseph.
Randy was a skilled welder and made a living at it until getting into the truck driving business which he did for 13 years. He was also a proud member of the Rich Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Broyles-Shrewsberry Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening, November 15th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The service will be Friday, November 16th at Riverview Baptist Church in Ripplemead, VA at 2:00pm with Pastor Shahn Wilburn officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Rich Creek, VA. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to assist the family with burial expenses. Donations will be accepted at any NBB (National Bank of Blacksburg) location in the account of "Randy Fields Memorial Fund."
