NORMAN — Ramona Ann Rarick, 62, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011, in Norman. She was born Nov. 1, 1948, in Lusk, Wyo., to David and Betty (Stallman) Boston. She was united in marriage to Joseph Rarick.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home.
She is preceded in death by her parents and son, Michael Rarick, in 2004.
Ramona was a registered nurse for more than 30 years, retiring from Griffin Memorial in 2006. She took pride in her nursing and extended her caring to her children’s friends, who knew her as “Momma Mona.” Her passion was her grandchildren, who referred to her as “Grammy.” She enjoyed spending time with Jennifer teaching her to cook, with Megan watching their favorite TV show, “American Idol,” and babying her only son, Michael. She also enjoyed scrapbooking and shopping.
Ramona is survived by her husband, Joseph; two daughters, Megan Brendle and husband Matthew of Moore and Jennifer Means and husband Eric of Norman; one brother, David Boston and daughter Debbie of Eureka, Calif.; three grandchildren, Laila Means, Gavin Brendle and Novah Means; two aunts, Beverly Hoy and Naomi Strickfaden; and two nieces, Angel Boston and Moriah Boston.
