William ‘Robert’ Dunn

NORMAN — William “Robert” Dunn, 60, of Norman passed away on Oct. 11, 2012. Robert was born on February 6, 1952 in Clinton, Okla. to Bob and Clara Dunn. He worked for Wal-Mart for forty years and spent the last half of his career as a store manager. Robert also served his country in the National Guard. He was a member of Slaughterville Baptist Church where he enjoyed playing guitar in the church band. He was especially fond of country and bluegrass music and enjoyed playing his guitar and steel guitar.

He delighted in being outdoors, working in the yard, and fishing. Robert also enjoyed watching western movies and shows. His favorite show was Gunsmoke. Robert’s first love was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Vickie, of Norman; 2 sons, Kevin Dunn & wife Kevynn of Edmond, Okla. and Bryan Dunn & wife Virginia, of Norman; mother, Clara Dunn, of Rogers, Ark.; 2 brothers, Richard Dunn, of Rogers, Ark. and Ronnie Dunn, of Garfield, Ark.; 3 sisters, Sharron Stanton, Patricia Stocker and Mary Ann Akers, all of Rogers, Ark.; three grandchildren, Cayley Marie Dunn, Clara Elaine Dunn, and Jenna Elizabeth Sunderland. He is preceded in death by his father, Bob Dunn.

Funeral Services will be held, 10:00 am, Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 at Eastern Ave Church, 836 N. Eastern Ave, Moore, with Pastor Greg Mack officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30 pm, Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 at Banner Cemetery in Crescent, Okla.

Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, 120 S. Broadway, Moore.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers contributions may be

made to Slaughterville Baptist Church, 10101 10th St., Noble, Okla. 73051.
