NORMAN — Joyce Yvonne Shultz Pasque, 82, of Norman, went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 28, 2013. She was born June 16, 1930, in High River, Alberta, Canada, to parents Russell and Hazel Shultz. She had one brother, Royce Shultz.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the Havenbrook Funeral Home chapel, 3401 Havenbrook St. in Norman, with interment following at the Resurrection Memorial Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
Joyce graduated from Guthrie High School as valedictorian in 1947. She received a Bachelor of Science in 1951 from Oklahoma State University, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi. She then married her Guthrie High School sweetheart, Bob Pasque. They were happily married more than 50 years. Due to Bob’s job, Joyce set up households in six different states and along the way had eight children: seven sons and one daughter.
Her two great loves were Jesus and her family. These loves led to her involvement in years of teaching children in religious education and leading Scouts. She also was deeply committed to Women’s Aglow, where she served in all capacities. Joyce was active in Bible studies and church activities with a willingness to share Jesus with anyone at any time.
Her favorite roles were as mother and grandmother. She will be remembered as a loyal friend, loving wife, supportive mother and mother-in-law, and a “gracious grandma.” Joyce wisely invested in eternal treasures, relationships with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her family and friends.
She is survived by all eight of her children.
