Lola Faye Ripley

NORMAN — Norman resident, Lola Faye Ripley, 87, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, in Norman. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at NorthHaven Church, with Dr. R. Mitch Randall officiating. Burial will be at Noble IOOF Cemetery.

She was born Jan. 5, 1927, to Wilmott A. Wilson and Cora (Radford) Wilson in Wanette.

Mrs. Ripley was a homemaker and gifted seamstress. She was an avid gardener whose flowers are still blooming in many other gardens. Mrs. Ripley was involved in children’s programs at Goodrich Memorial United Methodist Church. She loved to travel and made many special memories with her husband being “winter Texans.”

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert “Bud” Sieg Ripley; her sister, Iva Lee Williams; her brother, Calvin Wilson; grandsons Steven Clark and Scott Williams; great-grandson, Shelby Collins; and her half sister, Edith Tomlinson.

Mrs. Ripley is survived by her daughters, Paula Smalling and husband Connel of Norman and Vickie Williams and husband Jerry of Norman; her sister, Neva Jean Choate and husband Bill; granddaughters Keri Fillbright, JJ Waggoner and husband Tony, Dawn Williams and Lisa Collins and husband Speedy; extended family, Glen Mock and wife Kris and Jeff Mock and wife Karen; 18 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary bearers will be Bill Choate, Connel Smalling, Jerry Williams, Tony and Kade Waggoner, Speedy and Shonathon Collins, Don Paul Hickey and Troy and Levi Fullbright.

The family has suggested memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice, CCFI or Abbott House.

Services for Mrs. Ripley have been entrusted to the care of Primrose Funeral Service.
