Harold E. Thrasher

NORMAN — Harold E. Thrasher, better known to his friends and family as “T,” of Norman, passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, in Norman. He was 57.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Sunset Memorial Park Chapel, with burial at Sunset Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Primrose Funeral Service.

He was born Feb. 18, 1957, in Ft. Smith, Ark., to Marion and Grace Thrasher. A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he studied history at the University of Oklahoma. He was a long-standing member of the Norman YMCA and enjoyed swimming and walking. He married his wife, Jocelyn Thrasher, on March 4, 1985.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Gertie Geiger; his mother, Grace Thrasher; his aunt, Helen Little; and uncle, George Ralls.

He is survived by his wife, Jocelyn Thrasher; daughters Angel Thrasher-Banker and her husband Roger Banker, Brandi Adair, Candi Zimmerman and her husband Harry Zimmerman and Wendi Nowotny; grandchildren Evelyn, Levi and Georgia Banker, Austin Donalson, Dylan Haffelder, Brad Cornelius, Blake Cornelius, Brendan Cornelius, Julia Jones and Brandon Burbridge; and six great-grandchildren.

Services have been entrusted to the care of Primrose Funeral Service.
