NORMAN — Sarah Faye “Sally” Carter Menzie, 64, of Norman passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012.

All are welcome at a memorial service at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at St. John’s Episcopalian Church on the corner of Asp and Duffy. A reception will follow.

Sally was an avid Sooner fan and enjoyed fishing, listening to bluegrass and blues music, and reading. She helped many people during her time as a drug and alcohol abuse counselor. A deeply spiritual person, she was involved in many activities through St John’s Episcopalian church and the Morning Star Center for Spiritual Living.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gerome F. Carter; her mother, Billie P. Carter; a sister, Sherry Brewer; and a great-nephew, Kolbee Hall.

Sally is survived by her daughters Laura and Mariah Menzie; brother, Jerome “Buddy” Carter; granddaughters Saradon and Kacie Jane Menzie; a niece, Kimberly Brown and husband David; and great-niece, Kindra Hall.
