Robert ‘Buck’ Bruce Brown

NORMAN — Robert “Buck” Bruce Brown was born to Lawrence A. and Olive Grace Brown on Aug. 7, 1946, in Muskegon, Mich.. He departed this life on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, in Norman, at the age of 67.

He graduated from U.S. Grant High School in Oklahoma City. He entered the U. S. Air Force on Feb. 23, 1965, and received an honorable discharge on June 9, 1969. He married Bonnie Keller in 1986 in Oklahoma City and made their home in Noble.

He was employed with Cleveland County District No. 2 as a mechanic until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and most importantly his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers, one sister and a grandchild, Lauren Brown.

Those who survive him are three sons, Robert Brown Jr. (Clara) of Lexington, Jason Brown of Oklahoma City and Charles Brown (Valerie) of Moore; one stepdaughter, Jamie Johnson (Lawrence) of Noble; one brother, Lawrence (Squeaky) Brown of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at McMahans Funeral chapel. Visitation will be today from 1 to 6 p.m. Interment will be at Noble IOOF Cemetery. Directed By McMahans Funeral Service.
