NORMAN — Willis “Bill” Duncan, 86, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013, in Norman. Bill was born to parents John and Iona in Sparks on April 25, 1927.
Not long after grade school, Bill began working in the oilfield. In 1947, he met the love of his life and was married to Reba Marquis on Dec. 16, 1948, in Seminole.
His deep passion for the oilfield industry drove him all the way up the ladder. Bill, along with his business partner Bill Higginbotham, started Capitol Well Servicing Inc. where he worked happily until retirement.
In 1975, Bill purchased the family farm in Seminole County and loved spending time there working cattle. This passion continues on in his grandson, Jeff.
Bill was a 32nd Degree Mason, a Shriner and avid outdoorsman enjoying quail hunting and fishing for many years. Above all things though, Bill loved and adored his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his wife, Reba of the home; sisters, Rosalee Searcy of Arkansas, Margie Day of California, and Jackie Moore of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jeff and wife Sarah Duncan of Norman and Holly Hatcher of Norman; and great-grandchildren, Evyn Duncan and Addy Hatcher.
