Seabron Hugh McElhany Jr.

NORMAN — Services for Seabron Hugh McElhany Jr., 76, of Norman, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Primrose chapel, with burial at Noble IOOF Cemetery. Viewing began Wednesday at Primrose Funeral Service.

He passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at the Wadley Care Center in Purcell. He was born Nov. 25, 1936, to Seabron Hugh McElhany Sr. and Alma McElhany in Norman.

Seabron was a resident of Norman for his entire life and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He married Nora Marcella McElhany on Jan. 12, 1957. He was a barber by trade and enjoyed cutting hair even in his spare time. Seabron retired from barbering in 1989 to enjoy his grandchildren and life.

He is survived by his three brothers, Jim McElhany, Charles McElhany and John McElhany; five children, Mike McElhany and wife Brenda, Robin McElhany, James McElhany and wife Jennifer, Darvin McElhany and Anna Wall and husband Trevor; 10 grandchildren, James McElhany and wife Britni, Michael McElhany, Jamie and husband Brian Williams, Jessica and husband Brad Woodard, Jacob McElhany, Jared McElhany, Bryce McElhany, Caleb McElhany, Mason Wall and Dylan Wall; one great-grandchild, Dustin Woodard and one on the way, Ariel McElhany.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nora Marcella McElhany; sister, Maryjane Anderson; and grandson, Dustin McElhany.

Services have been entrusted to the care of Primrose Funeral Service.
