Sherry L. Saunders

NORMAN — Sherry L. Saunders, 66, of Oklahoma City, passed away peacefully Friday, March 14, 2014, after a brief illness.

Sherry was born July 16, 1947, to Roy and June Hollingsworth in McGee, Ark. She was the third of five children. She went to Norman High School and graduated in 1965. She began working for IBM in the early 1970s and retired from there in 1996. Sherry was married to Chuck Saunders for 18 wonderful years.

Sherry lovingly cared for her parents in the final stages of their lives as no one else could. She was devoted to her husband, daughter, stepson and grandchildren. She loved her family without measure and they loved her the same.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson, Chae Morgan.

Loving memories of Sherry will be cherished by her husband Chuck; daughter Tiffany; stepson Chuckie; grandchildren Kaili and Logan; her great-grandchildren; her sisters, Lisa and Linda; her brothers, Larry and Phil; and many extended family members.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Resthaven Funeral Home, 500 S.W. 104th Street, Oklahoma City, and visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Resthaven Funeral Home.
