NORMAN — Dora Mae (Knight) Blake, born in Bradford, Pa., on Sept. 30, 1932, to Mary (Erskin) Holcomb and Ira Roscoe Knight, died peacefully Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, at the Noble Health Care Center in Noble. She previously lived in Deming, N.M., and Bradford, Pa., with her husband of 58 years, William E. Blake, whom preceded her in death.

Two sisters preceded Dora in death, Mary Lou Cummings of Virginia and Linda Sigmon of Claremont, N.C.

Dora is lovingly remembered by three children, Deborah Behan and husband Tom of Tucson, Ariz., Judith Brideau and husband Robin of Lunenburg, Mass., and Don Blake and wife Cheryl of Norman; two sisters, Donna Newman of Bradford, Pa., and Marilyn Swanson-Bliley of Webster, N.Y.; one brother, Earl “Sonny” Knight of Old Fort, N.C.; six grandchildren, Eric Behan (Sarah) of Eastvale, Calif., Brian Behan (Holly) of Tucson, Ariz., Erin Beech (Tom) of Hubbardston, Mass., William Brideau (Renee) of Leominster, Mass., and Kasie Blake and Ashlie Blake of Norman; and three great-granddaughters, Samantha and Jessica Behan of Bradford, Pa., and Brynn Behan of Tucson, Ariz. Dora also will be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews.

Dora will be remembered for her charity work at the Deming, N.M., Historical Museum and assisting her many neighbors in her retirement community. Before retirement, Dora worked in management for J. C. Penney Co. and Zippo Manufacturing in Bradford, Pa.
