NORMAN — Larry Paul Givens Sr., 60, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, in Lexington.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Wadley’s Funeral Service chapel. Interment will follow at Lexington Cemetery under the direction of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Larry was born June 17, 1953, to Charley and Ruby (McFarland) Givens in Norman. He was raised in the Little Axe area, graduating from Noble High School around 1971. Larry worked for Thunderbird Meats in Norman for many years.

On Dec. 7, 1981, he married Diana Johnson in Little Axe. Larry enjoyed wood working, fishing, the OKC Thunder, OU sports, Nascar events, playing with his grandchildren and four wheeling. He also enjoyed coaching little league football and baseball when his sons were younger. Larry loved to laugh and play practical jokes on his friends and family.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Charley and Ruby Givens; sister, Patsy Black; brother, Donald Lee Givens; sister-in-law, Carol Givens; and brother-in-law, Raymond Rosenfelt.

Survivors include his wife, Diana of the home; sons, Charley Givens and wife Sarah of Lexington, Larry Givens Jr. and wife Gail of Oklahoma City and Jacob Givens and wife Jessica of Lexington; grandchildren, Jodi, Jessi, Juli, Keiley, Marleigh, Blayke and Peyton; sisters Jett Williamson and husband John of Wynnewood, Chardean Roberts and husband Tony of Florida, Clara Mae Rosenfelt of Little Axe and Wanda Givens of Norman; brother-in-law, Ronnie Black of Oklahoma City; and numerous other relatives and friends.
