NORMAN — Mary Lawson passed away Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at the age of 73. She was born June 2, 1940, in Kinmundy, Ill., to Joe and Minnie Brimberry.
She and her husband, Curtis, were married in 1960 in Lexington and spent their first 26 years of marriage traveling the world as part of the U.S. Air Force family. After Curtis’ retirement from the Air Force, they settled in Chickasha, where Mary worked as a medical transcriptionist for the Grady County hospital system.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one brother and one grandson.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis, to whom she was blissfully married for 53 years and two happily married sons, Kevin and his wife Julie and Todd and his wife Sarah, as well as seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and her siblings, George, Jimmy, Nancy and David.
She was a wonderful wife and a fantastic mother and grandmother who was well loved and will be sorely missed. She has gone home to be with her grandchild, Matthew, and we all know she will be looking down on us with love for eternity.
A memorial service will be hosted at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Primrose Funeral Service, primrosefuneralservice.com.
