NORMAN — Betty Snodgrass, 88, of Norman, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014. She was born Nov. 11, 1925 in Konawa to Walter Forrester and Martha (McCall) Forrester.
She grew up and attended school in Wanette. Betty married Robert Strough in 1942, he preceded her in death in January 1949. She later married Oliver “Snod” Snodgrass in 1953. The highlights of her life were making people laugh and entertaining people. She loved dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Marth Forrester; her husbands, Robert Strough and Oliver Snodgrass; and her daughters, Cheryl West and Barbara Strough; and her son, Jim Taylor. Betty is survived by her son, Bob Stough and wife Myrna of Norman, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 9 at the Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel, 3401 Havenbrook Street in Norman, with private interment following at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norman.
The family would like to thank caretakers for the excellent care Betty received from the Gardens at Rivermont and Carter Hospice. Special thanks go to Dr. Christopher Edge and staff.
